Executive Headteacher

I’ve been in education for over twenty years now since completing my degree in Primary education. Over the last twenty+ years I have worked in a number of schools, both Primary and Secondary, and held a range of posts; leading PE, IT, Maths and The Arts in Primary Schools and Maths, History and Film & Media Studies in Secondary. I have also led Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 and been a Deputy Head in three schools, one of which was a brand new school (International College Hong Kong) that I helped to set up in China. I also completed a Masters Degree in Educational Management focussed on changes within educational settings whilst working overseas.

After returning to England after 8 years, I worked for the local authority as a Affiliative Deputy Head Teacher supporting a school in Enfield for two years. I joined Eastfield as Deputy Head in 2013 and have loved working here ever since. I enjoyed my role as Deputy Head for six years in which time I focussed on introducing the school values, implementing positive approaches to behaviour and developing the curriculum.

After a year of working as Acting Head from 2018-19, I took on the role as substantive Headteacher in 2020 – just before the school closed for the first lockdown! To say it has been an interesting couple of years since would be to undersell it!

Eastfield is an amazing school with great staff, a fantastic community and the most wonderful children. Our ongoing focus on values and role models has created a really positive environment where every child is given the skills, confidence and guidance to become a positive role model in their own right.

No two days are ever the same at Eastfield, which is why it is such an exciting school to work in. I really do consider myself very lucky to be able to be the headteacher of such an incredible school.

Mr. Statham

KS2 Acting Phase Leader

I have been a teacher at Eastfield Primary for 8 years now Where I have taught throughout KS2. I love teaching at Eastfield Primary School, the children are well behaved and a pleasure to teach. Throughout my time here I have had the pleasure of leading the girls and boys football teams as well as the cricket team. I am also the computing lead, where I look after the computing curriculum and all the digital learning we do at our school. Prior to becoming a teacher, I ran my own house renovating company and I was an area manager running a number of after school clubs in Highgate. All of which was done after completing my degree in Sport & Exercise Science at Roehampton University.

I have recently become a Governor at another school in our trust. It has been something I have wanted to do for some time now so that I can enhance my understanding of the inner workings of school, and help promote the importance of education, helping to provide children with the best possible start. In my spare time I love to cook, eat, travel, play sports and spend time with my family.

Mr. Theodoulou

Office Manager

When my youngest son (I have 3 boys) started Reception, I wanted to find a part-time job that fitted whilst caring for my children. I replied to an advert for a Relief Lunchtime Midday Supervisor and began working for Eastfield Primary school in February 1994.

In 2001, a position came available for a Receptionist in the office; and as I had previous secretarial experience before taking a career break to have children, I applied and was successful. A totally different role but I found it challenging and interesting to see how schools run behind the scene.  Then in 2006, I took the post of Administrative Assistant and in 2020 was promoted to Senior Administrative Assistant and more recently to Office Manager.

Working in the School Office over the last couple of years have been very different but I think some things have changed for the better, through engaging parents with both email and texts to suit our parents/carers more modern lifestyle.

The staff all work together to make Eastfield a happy and safe environment for the children.  I have seen so many children come and go through the school during the last 28 years and it’s lovely when you see them now as adults and are bringing their children to Eastfield!

When I’m not working, I enjoy going on holidays, gardening and going to concerts or the theatre. When I am not doing that, I like to spend time socialising with family and friends.
