Our School

ARP

Additional Resource Provision

Our ‘ARP’ is known as Adams Class, named after Will-i-am (real name: William Adams).  The provision is for children that have complex learning needs that are also capable of some level of mainstream integration.  Adams class typically consists of 10 children, one teacher and two Learning Assistants – though other children do access the support for areas such as reading and maths.

The children in Adams Class all have a ‘home’ class in their respective year groups and join their mainstream classes for trips, visits, assemblies and some subject areas such as music and PE (or more, if it suits the individual concerned).

Children in the ARP receive additional funding through their Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
