Transferring to Secondary School September 2026

When choosing a secondary school, children and their adults should visit their prospective schools to help make sure that the school that best suits the needs of the child is chosen.  In September and October, secondary schools have open days where parents and Year 6 children can visit and find out more about the structure of the schools and their approaches to learning.

A parent Information meeting was held in September for Year 6 Students transitioning to Secondary School. The meeeting presentation covered all aspects of the transition process. This  gave an insight into what to expect and the information you would need to prepare for the next step in your child’s educational journey.

If you have any additional questions after the meeting date, please speak to a member of our dedicated year 6 team at the end of the  school day or call the office to make an appointment.
